CTS AIRCONDITIONING AND APPLIANCES INSTALLATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Quotations is subject to CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd Terms and Conditions of Trade.
  2. The quotation includes a standard back to back installation (where installation is specified on the quotation) and no additional material is included in a standard back to back installation.
  3. The quote is valid for seven (7) days from the date received and may be subject to change due to sudden price increases by our suppliers. The client will be informed of such price increase as soon as CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd is informed thereof.
  4. Acceptance of quote confirmed with a deposit amounting to the percentage specified on the quotation, payment terms below.
  5. We cannot take responsibility for any damage or performance related problems caused by ingress of any foreign matter or person, animal or plant or part thereof, vandalism, accident, flood, fire, lightning strike, negligence or any other external source or act of God.
  6. In the event of heavy rain etc. installations may have to be re-scheduled due to safety regulations constraints. If this is the case, we will inform you on the day (or prior if possible) and an alternative installation time/date will be arranged.
  7. Our Mid-Wall Split units are installed and measured to the standard of the installation technician present to comply with industry installation and warranty standards. If, for any reason, you would like the unit installed at a non-standard height/ position, please have someone present on the day to discuss/oversee and sign-off on the work, all prices are clearly stated on our quotation for installation as well as the prices for any additional material e.g. Piping, electrical cable etc. and is accepted by the client when the quotation is accepted for in the event that your installation can not be a back to back installation.
  8. CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd can take no responsibility of asbestos dust, pollution or general asbestos-related damages caused by the movement of the material.
  9. CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd is not responsible to hire professional cleaning services to clean after installation and it is the clients responsibility to cover all valuable items in the specific rooms where installation will be done however our technicians will take the necessary precautions to try and limit dust and dirt during installation.
  10. KINDLY NOTE THAT PAYMENT OF THE INVOICE IS DUE IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT OF FINAL INVOICE.
  11. CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd cannot be held responsible for unforeseen electrical issues existing within the building which may arise when installing an air conditioning unit.
  12. Ownership of the Equipment shall remain with CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd until such time as the full Fee has been paid by the Customer.
  13. Risk in and to the Equipment shall pass to the Customer on delivery and installation at the premises of the Customer.
  14. The Customer shall use the Equipment with care and subject to instructions issued by Manufacturer or CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd when needed.
  15. The Customer shall maintain the Equipment in a good state of repair, fair wear and tear excepted. The customer shall make good at its own expense any damage caused to the Equipment from whatsoever cause arising, including, without limiting the generality of aforegoing, any damage arising from the negligence of the Customer or its personnel.
  16. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that the Manufacturer Warranty shall only apply if the Equipment is serviced and/or repaired at such intervals and for such period as recommended by CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd, and only if such services are done by CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd.
  17. Unless the Customer proves otherwise and without limiting the rights of the Customer pursuant to the CPA, if applicable, signature by the Customer on any job card provided by CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd and/or its service providers upon the installation of the Equipment at the Customer’s premises or any other written form of acceptance shall be deemed to be an acknowledgement by the Customer that it has fully inspected and approved the installation of the Equipment, including all of the components of the Equipment, and that the Equipment and components thereof have been received and installed to the full satisfaction of the Customer.
  18. CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever to the Customer for any loss arising from any failure or delay in delivery and/or installation of the Equipment resulting from any cause outside the control of CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd unless such failure or delay is directly attributable to the gross negligence of CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd.
  19. CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd DOES NOT TAKE RESPOSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES TO WALLS / STRUCTURES CAUSED BY DRILLING WHATSOEVER AND WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REPAIRS OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM INSTALLATIONS! ALL CHARGES WERE EXPLAINED AND THERE WILL BE NO CLAIMS OR PAYMENTS WITHHELD WHATSOEVER.
  20. On acceptance of this quote an 80% deposit on the total of this quote will apply – FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATIONS. On acceptance of this quote a 100% deposit / Full payment on the total of this quote will apply – FOR SUPPLY OF MACHINES AND MATERIALS ONLY.
  21. CANCELLATIONS OF DELIVERED ORDERS & OR REFUNDS: Subjected to approval by CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (PTY) Ltd, ANY CANCELLATION OF PAID DEPOSITS / ORDERS – A 15% ADMIN / HANDLING FEE of the total amount of the value of goods invoiced / returned WILL BE CHARGED / APPLICABLE.
  22. Subjected to approval by CTS Airconditioning and Appliances (Pty) Ltd, and based on the conditions and positive proof provided that, goods supplied are un-opened, un-installed and without any damage whatsoever, within the period of 7 working days, goods can be returned for credit / re-funded with an applicable admin / handling charge of 15% of the total amount of the value of goods invoiced / returned. Any credit / re-funds to be done ONLY after goods were received, inspected and items registered back in stock. All transportation / Courier costs resulting from cancellations / returning of goods, strictly for customers account or deductible from customers credit of goods returned.

Other Considerations

  1. Whilst all care is taken to provide the most accurate quote via email/phone, minor changes/additions according to your personal circumstances may sometimes be involved on the day of installation. In minor cases the installation may have to be re-scheduled to the next available appointment. Our installers will always strive to arrive at the given time to avoid any inconvenience to you however, ​there may at times be delayed due to previous appointments or by other unforeseen circumstances.​ If this becomes the case, we will inform you at the earliest time we can.
